Rehoming your dog

Rehoming Your Dog

Surrendering a dog should be a last resort after having exhausted all other options and seeking professional help from trainers and your vet. This includes asking family members and friends that the dog is already comfortable with to accept them into their home, as the dog will feel more comfortable with them than with a stranger. It's a very stressful and confusing experience for your dog, and should not be taken lightly. Most dogs will regress with their behavioural issues or health conditions when rehomed due to stress and change.

If you obtained your dog from another rescue organization or a breeder, you should first contact them to see whether they will take their dog back.

Making the decision to rehome your dog is never an easy one, but by asking for our help we will do the very best that we possibly can to be sure that the dog is placed in the best home we can find to suit his/her needs.

In most cases, we charge a $250 surrender fee per dog to help cover the costs of their care during their time with us.

Please note that we are not currently accepting any owner surrenders.

Owner Surrender Form

Note: completing this form does not guarantee that we will take the dog. It will be dependant on whether or not we have a suitable foster.
