Check out some of our happy dogs living their best life in their forever home

Latte

Latte is a very loving and energetic dog and we enjoy every minute of having her as a part of our family.

Belle

Belle is doing great and has brought so much joy to our lives. She has really come out of her shell and has really acclimated well to our home. She loves running around in the backyard and especially chasing squirrels, although it seems she's more interested in playing with them than hunting them. She loves sitting by the window and watching the birds fly back and forth from the trees to the bird feeders and her favourite spot is curling up on the couch while I watch TV.

She's still a bit nervous on walks and around new people but she's improved a lot in the past couple months after I hired a trainer to help build her confidence. She can be very stubborn and likes to do things on her own terms, but I'm also like that so to it's very endearing to me. I couldn't be happier having her follow me around the house all day! I'm very grateful for Stray to Play :)

Homer

I think we're doing quite well and I'd hope Homer would say the same thing. It's been quite a learning curve for both of us. I can see and feel the progress that we've made getting to know each other. By no means is he an angel, lol, but he truly is such a good boy. I'm loving being his mum.

Cici (now Gigi)

We love having Gigi a part of our family - she has brought a lot of love and laughter. She also prompted the odd groan...puppy energy!

Gigi has made huge strides with her training and general obedience. She really likes having tasks at hand and has flourished with some more structured training. Gigi is much better on walks - we've worked hard (and certainly continue to work on) leash skills and general other dog neutrality. Not getting too excited by other dogs while on leash has probably been our biggest challenge to work through with Gigi. Initially we had some separation anxiety issues to deal with, but have been able to work through that very successfully. We are so enthused and encouraged with how much Gigi's progressed so far.

Suzanne (now Maisie)

Maisie is such a great addition to our family, when she first came she was very skiddish. And spent lots of time cowering. We thought "what a shy little girl" Nope!!! She's now "crazy Maisie". She wakes us up by jumping on our head and patting our face with her paws. She loves the backyard and spends lots of time out there sunning herself. She is a sweet girl and loves belly rubs. She gets along with Frank and is really good with our grandson. She has a little bit of resource guarding with her nylabones that we want to work on but that's about it. Otherwise she's perfect!

Zuko

He is so great with our kiddo and with all the kids he encounters (two of his regular walks include picking our kid up at school). He's slowly exploring other dogs both on leash at the park and at a nearby dog run. He's still mostly into being near us, but has had a few full on playtime moments with other dogs. He seems to prefer bigger dogs. As he's getting comfortable we're seeing some of his Jack Russell energy (which we refer to as his "goblin time") but home he remains very chill. We've taken him on a few big hikes which he has loved, and we're looking forward to introducing him to a lake this summer. We can't tell if he's going to like swimming or not!

He just graduated from the Foundation Skills series at When Hounds Fly! He did great.

RJ

RJ has settled in nicely and has become quite the happy pup! He has been such a blessing and we are so happy to have him.

He spends most of his days chasing bunnies, digging his tunnel system in the backyard, and napping on the couch. His health has improved immensely. No more dental issues and we've finally found a kibble he enjoys (was a bit of a picky eater)!

Giselle

Giselle is doing great! I call her Jelly for short. She makes friends everywhere goes. She is irresistible!

She has mastered no pull leash walking and is very trainable. I had been having issues with her peeing inside. We just celebrated 3 weeks without an accident and then today she had a little accident. Hopefully just a minor set back. She used to wolf down her food but now she is unhurried.

She really seems to be settling in well to her forever home. She's happy on a streetcar or in my car. She enjoys sitting in my hammock with me.

Tofu

Tofu is doing FANTASTIC! Since we first brought him home, it's been so fun watching his personality slowly come out! The quiet, and sleepy puppy we first brought home is no more aha! As he's gotten more comfortable and confident, he's become a really spunky strong willed little guy. Very independent! He loves running after balls in the park, has become an avid bone chewer, and loves to sniff around and explore new places!

Overall he's just been an amazing little guy to train and work with. Everyday he's getting better and better, and he's been such a beautiful little addition to our family. We're so happy with him, and we can't thank you guys enough again for helping us through this process in order to adopt him!

Loulou

She is definitely a couch potato and feels the most safe when she is between us snuggling on the couch while we watch TV. Her fears are lessening slowly and she is starting to just chill. She loves her walks so much and gets 3 per day minimum. She smiles, trots with her tail up, plays with other dogs we pass by, and knows the route to a tee!! She is so happy outside, big smiles and all!

Our sphynx cats can get enough snuggles in. They are completely obsessed with LouLou and always want to be near her. They all get along just fine. Its too cute!

She just needs a bit more time to realize she isn't going anywhere. That this is her forever home. We give her so much snuggles and kisses and she is just so loved over here. She fits right in.

Thank you again for bringing her into our lives!

Giza (now Keeva)

Things are going amazingly with Keeva!

So far we have gone on two trips to Niagara (she is a GO Train pro now), one trip to the cottage, and multiple trips to the beach together - she LOVES the sand!

We are so grateful for being able to adopt our girl, she has brought so much joy into our home, thanks again for all your support!!!
